INSTALLATION AND COMMISSIONING

Custom packaging systems, standard procedures

In most cases, a KOCH blister machine or packaging line is one of a kind and customized according to your specifications. After it has been installed and accepted in Pfalzgrafenweiler (factory acceptance test/FAT), the required adjustments are made while you can approve packaging materials and products for production. We then disassemble your system, ship it to your production environment and set it up. Then we do test runs and prepare everything for the site acceptance test (SAT) – in accordance with the DIN norm or contractually defined criteria. The acceptance is documented in a detailed protocol. You will have it in writing that your KOCH packaging machine works as designed.

TRAINING

Recognizing and fully utilizing machine potentials

A smooth, efficient packaging process requires humans and machines to harmoniously work together. A perfectly coordinated KOCH training based on your requirements and level of expertise allows us to optimally prepare your employees for working with the respective machine types and configurations.

An experienced, certified team of trainers will convey a holistic training concept. Through a mixture of theory and practice your employees will acquire applicable skills right away. To guarantee the routine and productive operation of the machines and  operational reliability.

TECHNICAL SUPPORT

Always there for you – via a hotline, online or on site

Machine downtimes are expensive and have to be fixed as quickly as possible. The service hotline is the first place to go for quick and competent support. You will talk to a specialist who can help right away or pass your inquiry on to a service technician. They will access the operating system or the machine controller and, if necessary, consult with additional experts. Together with your employees at the system, this allows us to fix two-thirds of all problems right away.

If the problem can only be fixed on site, we will immediately schedule a service appointment. We will first order any required spare parts and schedule the repair appointment so that your production will be affected as little as possible. The service appointments are coordinated by the headquarters in Pfalzgrafenweiler or one of our service locations around the world. The international service network of the Uhlmann Group will also be involved.

Components and modules for consistent processes

Regardless of which KOCH blister packaging machine or packaging line you have chosen: If you want to make your packaging process easier, more efficient and safer, we will provide the right components that allow you to do so. They are optimally matched to the machine – including programming and control technology.

For example, when using KOCH robot handling, pre-packed or loose products can be inserted into pre-fabricated blister packs very quickly. Integrated inspection systems take care of the product control and check validation-related information. For labeling compliant with
track & trace guidelines, you can use custom inline systems or high-performance offline variants. Additional elements can be added and seamlessly integrated into your SCADA and/or ERP systems.
