1. FILM SAVING

Reduced film consumption and perfectly sealed blisters: we achieve this using ultrasonic welding. This process allows significantly narrower sealing edges to be realized. Moreover, as identical forming and sealing materials can be used, the packaging can subsequently be fed directly into the recycling process without the need to separate the components.

2. SMART HEATING

Our patented Smart Heating process uses a molded part specific heating function to accurately control the heating energy, permitting perfect regulation of the material thickness at any position on the packaging. This reduces the overall film thickness while optimizing blister quality.

3. SMART FORMING

The software-based molding process enables faster pressure build-up in the mold cavity, resulting in optimized material distribution and reduced film consumption. This allows thinner films to be used, while still ensuring robust and high-quality blisters.  Thanks to the increased pressure, the forming process is also faster and more productive. Temperature-controlled tools ensure perfect blisters from the first cycle, while an air shower in the forming station provides for optimum temperature control of the film even when the machine stops. The process can be restarted without material loss.

4. CLEVER CUTTING

Smart cutting processes ensure significant material savings, especially for small products. Depending on the packaging format, we select the appropriate process and also ensure that minimum to zero film waste is produced in the process by making optimum use of the machine format.

 

PROCESS AND BENEFITS

  • Longitudinal and transverse cutting for packages with right-angled corners, with zero film waste
  • Star cut: Punching out a star shape for rounded corners, then separating the packages by longitudinal and transverse cutting; with minimum waste
  • Bone cut for packages with a perfect radius, without sharp edges; no film waste in the running direction and reduced material usage due to narrower intermediate webs
  • Shifted cut: Due to the special arrangement of the cavities in the punching tool, the webs/waste strips between the cavities can be significantly reduced

5. PROCESS BENEFITS
